• Sashiko weaving is different from Sashiko stitching: the woven process includes supplemental yarns on the loom, whereas sashiko stitching is after the cloth is off the loom and is often in contrasting white yarn. The woven process often produces a heavier weight fabric

• Fully buttoned down, can be worn as a shirt or jacket
