Japanese designer, Mika, living in Australia, comes from a graphic design background. As she transitioned to exploring jewelry making in silver, her mother asked her to find lightweight materials, so she took up creating minimalist designs with a non-toxic sponge rubber material, neoprene.
This season, she added the creation of a couple of garments to her repertoire
• Black “habotai” poly shibori-shaped fabric
• Lantern shaped dress that drapes; tapers at bottom to a ribbed band around hem
• Dolman cut, elbow-length sleeves, round neckline
• Pull over head; semi-sheer–will need to wear a body suit or slip
• 46″ long, best fits sizes 10-14
