Shinyaseki Linen Trench Coat Grey with Grey Wash

“Street Cool” designer Shinya Seki hails from Tokyo.  Young and up-and-coming. Works primarily with sustainable fabrics, and renders them into urban chic. His mantra is that “anything essential is invisible to the eye”. His minimalistic design is his hallmark.

Born in Osaka, Japan, Shinya loved to play in his grandfather’s garment factory, as a child and learned how the joy of creating from scratch. He studied design at Bunka Fashion College, developing his own draping technique. He specialized in technical design to take advantage of regional production, focused on traditional Japanese techniques and natural materials from his local area. As a result of his efforts, he won many international competitions while he was at college. 

In 2011, he launched his own brand “shinyaseki” in Shibuya Tokyo and set up his atelier.
