Takarajima Senkou Kaku Indigo Shibori Dress

Takarajima Senkou is a small dyeing workshop in the Fukuoka prefecture, founded by Chiharu Ogomori 20 years ago. Her business model is about finding the balance between traditional handcraft and modern lifestyle. She is committed to creating beautiful product while dyeing them by hand, and with natural dyes, sustaining the Japanese tradition, and making it a sustainable business.  Takarajima Senkou provides dye services/fabrics for mid-size companies, while also creating limited production pieces for small boutiques like TOKo Santa Fe.

This KAKU dress deserves a wearer with pizzazz. Someone who might twirl to show off the intrinsic character of the natural-dyed shibori fabric, and freeform shape.

The dress is natural, blue indigo and brown

• One size: 46″ long x 70″ all around

• Open down the sides, with long ties on each side for closure

• Keyhole opening and button at back neckline

• Gathered ruffle detail 2/3 of way down

Hand wash cold water, gentle detergent, separate from other clothing as indigo may come off and stain other clothes (for first few times).

Store out of direct sunlight and fluorescent light to avoid fading
