Victoria Rivers from Sedona is Professor Emeritas in Design at the University of California  Davis.  Victoria’s past honors include a National Endowment for the Arts Visual Artist Fellowship, a Fulbright/Indo-American Fellowship for research in India, a US Artist Abroad through the US Department of State and former board member of the Textile Society of America. She authored and published a book, “The Shining Cloth: Dress and Adornment that Glitter“, and also authored numerous articles on textiles and world dress.  As she stepped away from academic life, she continued her travels, and focused on acquiring antique amulets, chains, handwrought elements in Morocco and Southeast Asia from which she crafts unique tribal jewelry with a modern twist.
